DSHS Horse of the Year title for Chica B Z

Last year she was elected DSHS Youngster of the Year, and thanks to her strong development, the Canturano mare Chica B Z of Martin Fuchs could be honored as DSHS Horse of the Year tonight! The nine-year-old mare achieved international top results and presents herself as a true ambassador for the Dutch Sport Horse Sales, where she was auctioned in 2015.

The Canturano daughter Chica B Z (ds.Berlin) was born in 2009 at the Berben family in Meijel (NL) and was part of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales collection as a six-years-old. She was purchased at this auction by her current owner Adolfi Juri, who was involved in the ceremony tonight together with rider Martin Fuchs. During the 15th auction edition of the DSHS in a packed Equestrian Center De Peelbergen they received the award, which was made by the Limburg artist Jos Dirix. With winning this award, Chica B Z follows in the footsteps of the successful Larino son Apart, the DSHS Horse of the Year 2017.

Great future
The Zangersheide-mare Chica B Z achieved great results under Martin Fuchs and considering her young age, she has a bright future ahead. In March this year the pair won the Grand Prix of CSI2* Kreuth and in the same month they finished second in the Grand Prix of CSI2* Gorla Minore. Also in the 3* Grand Prix of Arezzo they were runner-up, just like in the 1.50/1.55m class of CSI3* Busto Arsizio. Third prizes were won in the 1.50m and 1.45m classes at the GCT-CSI5* in Berlin this summer. Chica B Z is a wonderful ambassador for the Dutch Sport Horse Sales, and therefore she has been rewarded with this Horse of the Year award.
