23 September 2015
WEERT – It was an exceptional edition of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales this evening in Weert! With an average price of over 120.000 euro and a top seller of 380.000 euro the Dutch Sport Horse Sales 2015 increased immensely again. A Swedish rider is the lucky buyer of the five year old phenomenal jumping mare Fame DVL (Cardento x Ahorn), which is the top seller of all time of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales for a price of 380.000 euro.
This year the Dutch Sport Horse Sales decided to donate 5% of the price of the top seller to Uryadi’s Village, the charity of the Grand Prix rider Jennifer Crooks. Uryadi’s Village is dedicated to creating self-sustainability for orphanages and at risk mothers in Ethiopia. Uryadi’s Village provides emergency food, resources and funding, critical medical care and surgeries, facilitates rescue and care of many abandoned infants and procures land to build a model facility to care for and educate orphans. The Dutch Sport Horse Sales donated no less than 19.000 euro to this wonderful charity, founded by Jennifer Crooks.
“We are very proud of this unique edition of the Dutch Sport Horse Sales”, Michel Hendrix states, representing the organization of the DSHS. “This year we have experienced more interest than ever before and there were a unbelievable amount of clients who tried these highly-talented horses. We are also very proud so many professional riders were present and purchased their future stars. This confirms the confidence our clients have in the Dutch Sport Horse Sales.”
The phenomenal mare Fame DVL (Cardento x Ahorn) was one of the true stars in the collection and was called one of the best horses the Dutch Sport Horse Sales have ever sold. A buyer from Sweden was the happy new owner of this extremely gifted mare. For a beautiful price of 245.000 euro a legendary British rider purchased the highly-talented mare Escada (Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve). The show jumping rider had a lot of trust in the DSHS-horses again and also purchased the Stal Hendrix bred Erasmus HX (Vittorio x Amaretto I) for 215.000 euro.
The six year old gelding Elvis G (Vegas VDL x Indoctro), which is a true Grand Prix prospect, leaves to the United States of America for 225.000 euro. The six year old gelding Black Jack (Canturano x Favoritas xx) goes for 210.000 euro to Turkey. With the talent of Black Jack he is no gamble at all!
Like always the Dutch Sport Horse Sales got a lot of attention from all over the world. The talented show jumpers leave to countries like the United States, Ireland, Scotland, Finland, England, Sweden, Turkey, Italy and Norway.
