Carvalho is bred by Stal Hendrix and has undergone his training there. His sire is the wellknown stallion Ustinov, the last son of the preferent Libero H. Ustinov stands out due to his extra gallopade and his spectacular way of jumping. Ustinov has already been internationally successful under Caroline Müller. Carvalho’s dam’s line goes back to N-Aldato. N-Adalto is the horse with which Emile Hendrix won gold during the European Championships in 1991. Via grandmother Grey Lady, Carvalho goes back to a Hanoverian dam-line that produced many good horses. The most well-known offspring from this bloodline is Michel Hendrix’s Noble (s. Noble Sire).
