Chalanyan is a noble and exceptionally-bred son of the KWPN-stallion Douglas. Douglas himself enjoyed a successful international sporting career which he was unfortunately forced to end prematurely due to injury. In the sport Chalanyan’s elasticity and qualities over the jump, in particular, make him stand out and also earned him a place in the Dutch Championship for Young Jumping Horses. On his dam’s side this eye-catcher goes back, via the stallions Kenwood, Voltaire and Purioso, to a bloodline known for producing many sports horses including the international jumping horses Vlaske, Woline, Urano and Helena Weinberg’s Ronaldo.
