Chapeau won the prestigious Stal Hendrix competition both in 2011 as a four-year-old and in 2012 as a five-year-old. He is a very nicely-modelled son of the world-class producer Indoctro. At least three of Indoctro’s offspring were selected for the Olympic Games in 2008: VDL Orestus, Don Porfirio and Picolien Zeldenrust. The Indoctro-son is out of the world-famous mare Erosie (sport name My Girl) who had many international successes ridden by Ian Millar. Chapeau was My Girl’s last offspring. My Girl’s daughter Taloubet produced the jumping horse Capall Zidane, who was sold during the DSHS 2009 and is ridden by Ronan McGuigan.
