Chardonnay is the outcome of two legends of show jumping and breeding. Cumano jumped with Jos Lansink to the world title at the World Equestrian Games in Aachen in 2006 and although his descendants are very scarce, dozens of them jump at international Grand Prix level. In his career Grandfather For Pleasure won two Olympic gold team medals and should be considered as one of the best sires of the recent decade. Additionally Chardonnay’s mother Flyght Thing also jumps at Grand Prix level with Laura Brocard and grandfather Cambridge is also a true progenitor. Chardonnay was bought as a two-year-old at the Holsteiner stallion show and received his training at Stal Hendrix, where he stood out with his light-footedness and impressive power. His way of moving makes this complete horse suitable for multiple sports purposes.
