Curt Z’s granddam Tasja is better known as Olympic Sunrise. This mare took part in the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988, ridden by former rider and current team coach Rob Ehrens. Curt W Z is thus out of a proven damline. The Cassiano-son himself jumps with much ability and has exceptional riding qualities. He has successfully competed in a series for young horses in Belgium. Galoubet A is also present in his pedigree: in his time he was one of the best show jumpers in the world under rider Gilles Bertrand de Balanda. This combination won team gold in Dublin in 1982, amongst other successes. Curt W Z’s sire is the stallion Cassiano, born in 2001. He combines Cassini I and Calypso II, two legendary Holstein stallions.
