The five-year-old grey mare Haranta is a product of a very successful dam-line. Her dam Daranta is a half-sister to the renowned Grand Prix show jumpers Oranta, ridden by Chris Kappler; and the KWPN-approved stallion Warrant, ridden by Henk van de Pol, Alberto Michan Halbinger and Mark Bluman. In addition, Haranta’s granddam Karanta is the dam of other international horses, including Taranta (Mathijs van Asten) and Atlanta (Francesca Capponi). Haranta, who immediately drew praise at the competitions for young show jumpers, was purchased by Niels Knap and further trained by Nicole Mestrom. Haranta easily qualified for the final of the Stal Hendrix competition in which the Zirocco Blue daughter placed third with an 8.5 for jumping as well as way of going between the obstacles.
