This bloodhorse-type mare Jelsina HX possesses everything she needs to become an excellent show jumper. Although she is still a little green, she is brimming with potential —and that’s no accident given her good genes. Her pedigree includes Michel Hendrix’s Grand Prix stallion Don Diablo HX, who explicitly passes on his talent, combined with the leading Sina-line. Under Michel, Jelsina HX’s dam Welsina also achieved success in the sport: for example, she finished fifth as a six-year-old in the final of the World Breeding Jumping Championships for Young Horses in Lanaken. This 1.40m-classified mare produced several 1.30m horses, among them the international show jumper Csina (s.Vittorio), who jumped clear time after time. Furthermore, Welsina is a full-sister to the international 1.45m show jumper Delsino, ridden by Manfredi Macchiarella; and a half-sister to the Grand Prix show jumper Coral Reef Crystal Cove (s.Ahorn), ridden by Vinton Karrasch. This direct branch has produced multiple horses which have broken through to the highest level, among them Zorina VDL (s.Silverstone), Nuit de Pomme (s.Jus de Pomme), Nintendo (s.Indorado) and San Patrignano Mister (s.Maykel).
