With his great potential, Lérop fully honors his excellent pedigree and has a great future ahead of him. This gelding has been purchased as a foal by the Hendrix family and represents a strong part of Holsteiner damline 173. The damline leads in the third generation back to a full sister of the famous stallions Capitol I-II. Dam Acapitola is a half-sister of several international showjumpers, including the 1.50m level performing Pracht-S (s.Corland) ridden by Helen McNaught, who in turn foaled the stallion Vermont (s.Carolus II) and is listed as the granddam of the 1.50m level competing stallion Van Dejk (s.Verdi). Granddam Europa IV is also listed as the granddam of the international 1.60m showjumper Gangster (s.Landprinz), who participated in the London Olympics with Jaime Azcarraga. Europa IV herself is a half-sister of, among others, the international sport and breeding stallion Quite Capitol. Combined with this performance family are the Grand Prix horse progenitors Kannan and Quidam de Revel. Lérop’s sire produced top showjumpers like Nino des Buissonnets, Albführens Paille, Molly Malone V and Quabri de L’Isle.
