New Senator is light-footed, has great jumping manners and shows a lot of scope and potetial. New Senator is named after top showjumper Hello Senator for a good reason. Hello Senator earned multiple podium finishes in 5*-Grand Prixs and World Cup events with Scott Brash. Sire to both these ‘Sentators’ is Carambole, who is making his mark with offspring such as Quantum Robin V, Formidable and Cote d’Or Z. The dams of both Carambole sons are full sisters. New Senator’s dam Anerina has produced several international show jumpers, including the 1.55m-ranked Jack (s.Quasimodo van de Molendreef) by Julie Welles. Anerina also produced the 1.40m jumper Wadro’s Lerina (s.Glasgow van ‘t Merelsnest), with whom Marriet Smit-Hoekstra won international classes before she was sold to America, and the 3*-eventer Hanerina SSF. Granddam Jerina proved her worth as dam of Jur Vrieling’s successful Grand Prix horse Nerina (s.Amaretto I) and Laurenz Buhl’s 1.55m-ranked Drachten (s.Berlin). As a stallion this beautifully modeled New Senator was available for breeding in Scotland and is now one of the eye-catchers of this collection as a gelding.
