With his amazing disposition, light-footed movement and very good jumping manners, Night’s Watch is every rider’s dream horse. This six-year-old chestnut gelding is truly a cooperative fellow; and his sire is the Mecklenburg stallion Coratio, who excelled in the German performance test in Schlieckau. He is out of Pia-Luise Aufrecht’s international 1.50m mare Carolin 38 and is used for breeding on a limited scale. Here we see Coratio united with the mare Gora II, whose bloodlines combine the Gotthard son Golden Miller, an international show jumper, with the half-Thoroughbred stallion Ischabal. Bred to Cellestial, she produced the international 1.35m horse Cuba 26, ridden by Marcos Luis Ortega Quintana. Night’s Watch’s great-granddam Molora II (s.Modus xx) also brings valuable blood to this pedigree, and she is the foundation mare of the international 1.50m show jumper Elektra F (s.Exmiras), ridden by Sebastian Numminnen.
